Plan iv API edition

We have produced a schematic guide to the flow plans following the guidelines of the 4th edition of API 682, a document prepared by the American petroleum institute. Bees 682 provide guidance on how to construct mechanical seals and their servitude systems.

The guide provides an explanation of the characteristics and USES of the API plans and is a convenient tool for approaching the selection of the plans according to the leakage and service.

Food & drugs administration

In food and pharmaceutical processes, it is important that materials in contact with the product are manufactured in accordance with precise standards.

In the industrial field, the American standard issued by the fda, the food & drugs administration, has been widely used over the years.

The standard distinguishes foods into three macro groups and considers repeated contact between material and product, drawing up a list of permitted materials and indicating how contact tests should be carried out.

The purpose of the list is to indicate the materials and finishes which are suitable for contact with food. Therefore, the fda certification of the materials composing a mechanical seal makes them suitable for food and pharmaceutical use.

Strong like steel, inert like glass

The tanks with enamelled stirrer are devices used in the chemical industry where chemical aggression irremediably deteriorates the metal materials.

The mechanical seals which fluiten produces with an enamelled flange have proved over time to be a winning product in terms of their geometry, which allows easy cleaning, and in terms of the quality of the enamelling which considerably lenges the service life of the seals.

This is an example of two discarded car tills which, thanks to a planned overhaul programme, have been in use with our customer for over two years.

Gta 1345 is an engineered product of the standard gt 1165 series, developed with a cartridge with product contact rings made of non-metallic material to increase resistance to chemical aggression. Sealing is developed for use with pressurized auxiliary fluid and the double balance tolerates momentary pressure reversals ensuring the correct functioning of the leak.

Cip & sip procedures

In the regulation of production processes, reference is often made to cip&sip, particularly in the food, chemical and pharmaceutical sectors.

The two standards indicate the need to clean and clean the machine used in the process at each end of the cycle.
